Removal of Blood and Body Fluids From Hard Surfaces

The OSHA Bloodborne Pathogen Standard 29 CFR1910.1030, requires blood and body fluid spills to be picked up in a manner that prevents splashing.  The area then needs to be cleaned with a disinfectant and then decontaminated with a TB claimed disinfectant or one that has a claim for HIV and HBV.

              PROCEDURE:

Step 1:

Put on personal protective equipment such as safety glass and rubber gloves.

Step 2:

For preventing splashing use an absorbent, such as kitty litter or some other diatomaceous earth type product.

Step 3:

Clean area with any one of the Buckeye Sanicare Quats, or general purpose cleaners.

Step 4:

Decontaminate the area with Buckeye Sanicare Quat 64, 128 or 256, Buckeye Sanicare Lemon, Mint or Pine Quat Sanicare TBX, Buckeye Terminator, Buckeye Supergard or Buckeye Sanicare II Aerosol.
